Hi
Had a query from a customer interested in Insights and Workplace Analytics.
Is there a way to specific split working hours?, for those families as a result of the pandemic have changed their working patterns e.g. parents, taking shifts, 4 hours split, there is no feature that allows you to identify the split.
Any ideas?

Hi @pkbullock-cps, that is an interesting use case. I would recommend that these employees set up their working days and hours in Outlook to reflect their working habits. Viva Insights first takes the working hours and days from an employee's Outlook settings into account when running collaboration data. If their Outlook settings do not reflect their working habits the data will be skewed.

So sounds like it is a limitation in outlook for this scenario, as you cannot add a split into the day. I assume there are no advanced options in this area?

Agree with this gap - as a result of the more flexible working patterns it is very common for employees to work split days to fit around their home life. We regularly need to explain this out of of hours anomaly in the insights we share.
